We know that travelling back and forth to a clinic for frequent appointments can be a challenge, especially if you live some distance away. We currently have three satellite clinics in Basingstoke, Poole and Guernsey.
Anyone can use these services, whether undergoing fresh IVF, frozen embryo replacement cycles, intrauterine insemination (IUI) or donor insemination (DI).
We may be able to offer the following appointments at the satellite clinic:
- Initial consultation
- Consenting appointment
- Down regulation scan appointments
- Follicular tracking scans
- Pregnancy scans
- Follow-up appointment
Patients still need to attend Wessex Fertility for their egg collection and embryo transfer appointment. Some patients may also require additional procedures (e.g. cyst aspiration, sperm freeze, surgical sperm retrieval) which can only be done at Wessex Fertility.
How will using the satellite affect my treatment?
The aim of the satellite service is to make treatment more convenient for you. Our satellites are staffed by highly experienced Wessex Fertility nurses and doctors, ensuring good communication and an excellent standard of care. Appointments are conducted in line with Wessex Fertility’s protocols, and all scan and blood test results are sent to the main unit so the decisions made about your treatment, and your chances of success, are the same whether you choose to have your appointments close to home or in Southampton.
