All-female team expands at Wessex Fertility
June 4, 2008
Southampton-based Wessex Fertility has strengthened its all-female consultant team with the appointment of Dr Jacqui Tuckey, a consultant in sexual and reproductive health.
The clinic, the first of its kind in the UK to be led by an all-female consultant team, has appointed Dr Tuckey with a view to expanding its remit further to include a broad range of women’s health treatments.
Dr Tuckey commented: ‘I am thrilled to join such an established, successful clinic. I am looking forward to working alongside resident expert gynaecologists and obstetricians Dr Chantal Simonis and Dr Sue Ingamells and the clinic’s dedicated team of specialist staff and nurses.’
Dr Tuckey joins Wessex Fertility from St Mary’s Hospital in Portsmouth, where she most recently ran a menopause clinic at the Ella Gordon Unit. With over ten years’ experience in menopause, contraception and women’s health, Dr Tuckey brings a wealth of experience to complement the clinical team at Wessex Fertility.
‘Dr Tuckey is a welcome addition to our expanding clinical team,’ said Dr Sue Ingamells. ‘We are delighted that she was able to join us at this exciting time in Wessex Fertility’s development, as we seek to expand our range of treatments.’
Dr Chantal Simonis added: ‘The whole team is excited that Dr Tuckey is coming on board, marking a new era in the history of the clinic.’
