Wessex Fertility Initial Consultation

Your first appointment at Wessex Fertility is with one of our specialist fertility consultants. It will take up to an hour and will be an opportunity to discuss your fertility in detail. A full fertility and medical history will be taken and any results from tests and investigations you have already had will be discussed. 

If a semen analysis is needed this can be completed on the same day if you wish and the result will be available at the consultation to discuss with you. A pelvic ultrasound scan of the female partner is also offered as part of this consultation if needed. 

 

The appointment is individualised to you and treatment appropriate to helping you to conceive is discussed. The consultant will also discuss preconception lifestyle and dietary changes that may help you to have a baby. You will be given an individualised plan of treatment proposals, investigations and costs if you are self funding.

All your treatment and care as well as follicle scans and theatre procedures is delivered by the female consultant team.
