IVF Cycle Success Rates

With our growth and development as a team, over the years, our pregnancy rates have also continually improved and are now excellent. These rates are especially exciting as Wessex has a non selective policy and the pregnancies include couples who had a low chance of success.

The high pregnancy rate also reflects the experience and quality of the Embryology Team, the dedication and skills of the nurses, the administration and support staff and our doctors. None of our success would be possible without the commitment and expertise of our whole team.

Of all IVF / ICSI cycles commenced, 93% proceeded to embryo transfer.

Personal & Friendly Fertility Treatment

Due to the complex factors that influence the final outcome of fertility treatment, success cannot always be guaranteed. However our team is dedicated to providing a professional, personal and friendly service to ensure you are offered the most up to date treatment, appropriate to your needs to help increase your chances of success.

Take some time to read about success rates and read testimonials from past patients who have come to Wessex Fertility Clinic and Menopause Clinic for treatment. Their experiences may help you get a better insight into our clinic and how we look after you throughout your treatment.

Please Note: Our success rates are expressed as the proportion of clinical pregnancies per embryo transfer procedure. A clinical pregnancy is defined as the detection of a foetal heart 35 days after egg collection. Clinical pregnancies give a more accurate estimation of success as not all positive pregnancy tests will turn into clinical pregnancies.

All Ages 184 58 32%

*At Wessex Fertility a lower number of embryos are usually transferred per cycle in younger women due to the higher risk of twin and triplet pregnancies. Although the chances of getting pregnant are reduced by this, evidence suggests that the overall chances of a pregnancy are not affected when future frozen cycles are taken into account.
